I know when a girl starts her period that can be pretty scary. It can be 10 times worse when you don't know the CORRECT facts and what is happening. I started my period when I was in 4th grade and I had so many mixed emotions. For one I was thinking that this is not suppose to happen to me this young. They usually don't even teach about periods until 6th grade when most people start theirs. I have heard about a lot of girls starting theirs younger now days, so I don't really think it's that uncommon now. Most girls get information from friends, but it may not be the correct information.
